In May this year, the President of the French Federation of the game expressed his desire to hold the championship that will be held on dirt lands in next September, without fans if it is necessary to avoid the economic blow, indicating that he hopes the presence of the masses, even in a limited manner.

“I bet on Roland Garros with the maximum number of fans. The premise of playing behind closed doors is not favorable to us,” he said while stressing that the matter should be done according to the directions of the French government.

“We must not forget that it is the government that decides. With the expansion of the stadium and precautionary measures, we can clearly imagine Roland Garros with a limited public presence to protect players and fans.”
