Declaration: I Was Better Than Messi And Ronaldo

Comparisons continue between Argentine star Lionel Messi and his Portuguese opponent, Cristiano Ronaldo, about the best of them in recent years.

But a former Brazilian player from the 2002 World Cup champions appeared to confirm that his level was better than the two.

Brazilian Edilson said in a bold statement carried by the Spanish newspaper Sport '': At my best time, I was better than Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar da Silva too.

He added: “I was better than Neymar, to be better than me, he must win the World Cup, I have a distinguished personality, Messi also must win the World Cup to become better than me.”

He also played down the Portuguese Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo, saying: “He depends on strength only and shoots from the right and left, I am more skilled than him.”

And winning the World Cup in South Korea and Japan in 2002 was the highlight of Brazil’s Edelson career, The most famous team he played was Benfica, Portugal, after playing four games in the World Cup, including two games as a basic, and he was in a lineup that includes legends such as Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, and Roberto Carlos.
