Egyptian football minister Khaled Abdelaziz said on Sunday that international star Mo Salah would be on the list of the Egyptian football team that will participate in the World Cup in Russia next month.
Abdul Aziz said in a statement posted on his official Facebook page that the player will recover completely from the injury, suffered in the shoulder joint during Liverpool’s meeting with Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League on Saturday.
Abdul Aziz said that Salah was injured in the shoulder joints, noting that the period of his absence from the stadium will not exceed two weeks only.
Abdelaziz revealed that the medical apparatus of Liverpool in constant contact with the medical staff of the Egyptian team, where he sent them the medical tests that the player underwent and agreed on the diagnosis and treatment.
The Egyptian minister added that it was agreed to continue Salah in the English city of Liverpool for treatment and rehabilitation appropriate before joining the camp of the Egyptian team in Italy later to be determined by doctors.
Abdul Aziz concluded the statement by stressing that Mohammed Salah will be present in the final list of Egypt’s team in the World Cup, which will be announced on the fourth of June next.
Mo Salah injured after suffering violent dementia from Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos, which left him out of the game after half an hour after the 3-1 win.
The Egyptian team, which is participating in the World Cup for the third time in its history and the first in 28 years, starts its World Cup matches against Uruguay on June 15 in the first group which also includes the Saudi and Russian teams.
