Jason Bolt Starts his New Career with Football

Jamaican runner-up Jason Bolt, who crowned several times at the Olympic Games, arrived in Sydney on Saturday in preparation for a new career as a professional footballer.

Bolt joins Australia’s Central Coast Mariners to spend what the club calls an “indefinite training period,” amid hopes that he will start his career with the start of the Australian football season in October.

A number of fans cut off an hour and a half flight from Central Coast to greet Bolt on arrival at Sydney airport. “This is real and I am here now to review what I can do, I know my abilities and I know what I can do, so I have the opportunity.”¬†Bolt said.

the world’s fastest man was painted on the grass of the Mariner’s playground in Gosford, 75 km north of Sydney, to receive his ceremoniously.

Bolt is on his first official training session at Mariner’s on Tuesday, celebrating his 32nd birthday. he had spent previous spells with Borussia Dortmund and Norway’s Strumsgodst.
