Juventus, who want to retain the title for the eighth consecutive season, has risen to 31 points in the lead, while Cagliari has 13 points in 13th place.
Juventus scored an early goal with Argentine striker Paulo Dybala in 42 seconds of the match before João Pedro equalized.
Juventus’s second score came through friendly fire after Cagliari’s Filip Bradarić by mistake scored a goal in his net in the 38th minute.
Colombian Juan Cuadrado fired a shot of mercy on Cagliari’s hopes of a draw after scoring the third goal for Juventus.
The victory comes to give the old lady’s club a good push ahead of an important meeting with Manchester United on Wednesday in the fourth round of group matches in the Champions League.
In another match, Inter Milan continued their unbeaten run-up after winning their seventh consecutive victory, and a 5-0 win at home to Genoa earlier.
Inter moved to 25 points in third place, behind Napoli, who was second in the same position. Genoa, who did not win for the fifth game in a row, had 14 points in 11th place until the rest of the stage matches are finished.
The five scores were made by Roberto Gagliardini (minutes 14 and 49), Matteo Politano (16) and Joao Mario in the first minute of allowance for time lost, and Radja Nainggolan in the fourth minute of it.
This is the last rehearsal for Inter ahead of their Champions League clash against Barcelona on Tuesday.
