Patrice Evra: Gerard Pique burned my shoes

Patrice Evra

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique used to be controversial throughout his career and even when he was at the start of his career with Manchester United, leaving a legacy of cool and provocative attitudes during his England tour.

Former French international defender Patrice Evra has revealed a position he played during his time in Manchester, but he angered him personally.

“Once Nike gave me a unique shoe and a unique replica and I was very happy with this shoe when I was in the locker room,” Patrice Evra told Sky Sports, recalling his memories with Pique.

“I went for a shower and when I came back I found that Pique was burning the shoes, it was not funny and I did not like what Gerard Pique did, it was a special Nike shoe and I had my children’s names printed on it, But I took revenge and threw his shoes in the bathroom.”

Evra did not disturb controversial events such as Pique where he entered a clash with former Liverpool star Luis Suarez and accused him of racism and was deliberately celebrating in front of him to provoke during their time in the English league,

Evra’s last stint was when he kicked a fan in the face while he was with Marseille last season.
