Serena Williams: I Was Close to Death

Daughter of Serena Williams Olympia

The famous American tennis player Serena Williams has spoken of the enormous suffering she has recently experienced because of the dream of childbearing after her first daughter, Olympia was born.

Serena Williams said in an interview with CNN that she had experienced significant difficulties in procreation, as she was about to die.

The former world number one explained that she had been in bed for an extended period of about six weeks because of several postpartum problems.

Williams expressed her gratitude and great thanks to her medical team who supervised her condition while in hospital, stressing that she received professional medical attention.

Serena confirmed she was lucky to survive the many problems she suffered after the birth of Olympia in September.

The 36-year-old asked everyone to donate to charities to help mothers and newborns around the world because of reproductive problems.

The US player has returned to the tennis courts again recently, where she participated with the United States in the Davis Cup and lost a match against the French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko, then withdrew from the Australian Open and decided not to participate because of physical problems.
