Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas made his first victory in the tournament after the Wimbledon champion beat Novak Djokovic in the third round of the Rogers Tennis Cup in Toronto with a 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 win.

“It’s my biggest dream,” said Tsitsipas, who is almost unbelievable in an interview on the pitch, “I think it’s the happiest moment of my life.”

“I have never expected to win a player of this rank and be respected like Djokovic.”

Tsitsipas, who will be finishing his 20th year on Sunday, has been hit by his forward and forward blows to beat Djokovic, who was competing in his first trophy since winning his 13th Grand Slam title by winning the All England Club.

The Greek player made some mistakes near the end of the second set, allowing four-time winner Djokovic to impose a comma.

But Tetipas made a good offer to break Jukovic’s lead and lead 2-0 in the third set and did not back down.
