Tarteletto–Isorex Took the Championship of Iran’s Cycling Tournament

The Belgian “Tarteletto–Isorex” team culminated in the championship of Iran’s 33rd International cycling tournament, which ended Friday after six stages of the tournament, while Russian Dmitri Sokolov scored the individual Tournament.

In the sixth and final stage of the tournament, 60 cyclists from 8 international teams and five local teams took part in the 91-km race in the eastern province of Tabriz.

In the sixth and final stage, Iranian Cyclist Mohammed King Khanlu of the “Bischman Kuyer Yazd” team won in two hours 6 minutes and 8 seconds, while Marco Doets of the Dutch team “Alecto Cycling Team” and Dmitri Sokolov of Russia finished third.

Sokolov won the individual championship for the last six stages of the tournament while Iran’s Mohammed Kang Khan scored 18 points.

Said Safarzadeh of the Tabriz city team was first eliminated in the climbing race while Venantas Lašinis of the Lithuanian team “Staki” wore the white shirt.

In the final results, the Belgian team ‘Tarteletto–Isorex’ win the tournament and the Russian team in the second place while the Dutch team ‘Alecto’ ranked third.

Iran’s 33rd international tournament, began on Sunday, and ended on Friday with the participation of eight different teams from Kazakhstan, Germany, Lithuania, Belgium, Netherlands, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Russia and the Czech Republic, and five local teams from Iran for a distance of 999 km in the three provinces; Western Azerbaijan and eastern Azerbaijan, and the northwestern province of Arbil.
