Two Years Without Ronaldo … How Was Real Madrid Damaged?

On this day two years ago, the Real Madrid team bid farewell to its historical scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo, after a legendary era, after the latter decided to move to the Italian team Juventus.

Cristiano Ronaldo played his last match with Real on this day, and contributed to the victory (3 – 1) against Liverpool in the Champions League 2018 final, to achieve the title for the fourth time with the Royal Club. Cristiano Ronaldo’s comments disturbed the celebrations in Kyiv after he said, “It was great playing for Real,” suggesting that he left before the World Cup in Russia.

The “Royal” club failed to make up for the absence of its goal machine, and the average goal fell from 2.66 goals to 1.77 in the match last season.

Ronaldo’s career with Real Madrid included 450 goals along with four Champions League titles, and won two Spanish League titles, with a total of 13 titles in 9 years.

The Real tried to replace Ronaldo with a new icon and placed his bet on Eden Hazard, but the former Chelsea star disappointed in his first season due to the large number of his injuries, which prompted the Real to consider seriously the inclusion of Killian Mbappe or Irving Halland.
