Iran Defeats Cuba at Volleyball World Cup in Bulgaria

Iran wins the third match in the Volleyball World Championship finals and defeated Cuba 3-1 in the Bulgarian city of Varna.

The second, third and fourth matches were in favor of Iran (25-18, 25-22 and 25-19) while the first half ended in favor of Cuba 25-17.

Iran had won in the first round over Puerto Rico 3-0 and in the second round over Bulgaria 3-1. It is expected to Iran will meet Poland on Tuesday and Finland on Tuesday.

In the rest of the matches, the Egyptian team lost to their Canadian counterpart with three clean runs in the second round. The matches came in 27/25, 30/28 and 25/19 and the opening match in the first round against Brazil 3-0, / 25, 20/25.

Egypt is participating in the World Championship for the seventh time in its history, and the sixth consecutive in her and is the best Arab and African achievement to get the 13th place in the 2010 championship.
